Shade Studio is a multidisciplinary creative studio founded in 2021 by Anna Engels. Anna is a cut flower grower, botanical artist and carer of our natural environment. Her practice stems from her deep appreciation for Aotearoa’s native ecologies and her work aims to foster genuine care for these spaces. She has a spatial design and event floristry background and has previously worked as a wedding florist and grower on Waiheke Island. Anna now grows on her family farm in Tapapa, Waikato.
